Anamorphic Messaging: Analyzing the Double Ratchet, Triple Ratchet, PQ3, and MLS

TL;DR

This work is the first to leverage the statefulness of cryptographic communication protocols to employ continuously updated double states and achieve Forward Security : even if the adversary observes all traffic, knows all users’ regular secret key material at any stage of the protocol execution, and at some point learns the secret double state, the entire protocol execution looks benign although covert messages were previously hidden in the traffic anamorphi-cally.

FINGERTRAP: A Self-Defending Cryptographic Protocol for Network Communications

The full protocol is described, game-based security arguments under an explicit adversarial model are provided, analytic cost estimates for the friction mechanism are given, the denial-of-service surface and a two-layer mitigation strategy are analysed, and a post-quantum extension is specified using hybrid X25519/ML-K...

AoNT Trap: Borromean-Entangled Mutable Chameleon Trapdoor Hash All-or-Nothing Stream Cipher

This work introduces the Borromean-Entangled Chameleon Trapdoor Hash All-or-Nothing (AoNT) Stream Cipher (BEC-Trap), a novel construction that merges Borromean interdependence, trapdoor-enabled mutability, and streaming encryption into a unified framework. The (BEC-Trap) cipher links key (K), initialization vector (V )...

MCSI: A Masked Commutative Supersingular Isogeny Key Exchange with Blinded Ephemeral Keys

We introduce MCSI, a two message key exchange we design over the CSIDH class group action, in which each party sends its ephemeral public element under an authenticated encryption keyed by the value the two static keys determine. The design gives implicit mutual authentication, hides the ephemeral element from an eaves...

CONCISE: An Efficient and Resilient Alternative to Key Distribution for the Security of Computer Networks

CONCISE (Cryptosystem for Obfuscation, Nonrepudiation and Confidentiality with Integer Set Entanglements) is introduced as an alternative to existing key-distribution methods for the security of computer networks. CONCISE eliminates the need for deploying large numbers of symmetric keys, carrying out cryptographic hand...

BB84 with ML-KEM Decapsulation-Failure-Based Security Parameters

This paper suggests that as a key exchange mechanism, BB84 should be run with security parameters comparable to those of ML-KEM, and analyzes performance implications if this choice is taken, and offers general guidelines for BB84 parameter selection.
