lctriage — experiment outputs for "Persistence, Not Consensus" (TESS sectors 1, 2, 13)

Sep 2026 · Zenodo (CERN European Organization for Nuclear Research)

Abstract

Experiment outputs behind every table and figure of Persistence, Not Consensus: Measured Triage of Unsupervised Anomaly Rankings of TESS Light Curves, produced with lctriage 1.1.0 on TESS sectors 1, 2 and 13. Kept apart from the catalogue so that scores computed on synthetically modified light curves cannot be mistaken for measurements of real targets. Contents: injection truth tables (sectors 1 and 2: type, parameters, seed, amplitude stratum of every injected signal and artefact); per-target ranks of every detector, windowed ranks and per-window feature matrices of the clean and injected runs; contamination diagnostics harvested from the raw products (CROWDSAP, FLFRCSAP, flux–photocentre and flux–background correlations); the paper's tables as CSV with counts and bootstrap intervals; the test–retest results on the targets common to sectors 1–2 and 1–13; the preprocessing baselines; the row-order and tie-policy audit; the dossiers and pixel-level checks of the inspected candidates; and the analysis plan frozen before any light curve of another sector was read, with its dated deviations and its SHA-256 digest as printed in every run log. The analysis plan states its own provenance: frozen before any light curve of sectors 2 or 13 was read, its SHA-256 digest printed at the start of every run log. Every file carries the run settings (tie policy, excluded features, seeds, window edges) in a JSON sidecar. CC BY 4.0. Version 1.1 (September 2026) adds the eclipse fits of the Research Note Two long-period low-mass eclipsing binaries recovered from Gaia DR3 spectroscopic orbits and TESS eclipses at the predicted conjunctions: for TIC 370324073 and TIC 155989956, the detached-binary fits to every TESS eclipse (adopted and comparison runs, with curvature and bootstrap uncertainties and the derived masses and radii), the Gaia DR3 parameters and SB1 orbits of the primaries with the limb darkening used, and the figure of the Note (eclipse_fits_TIC370324073_TIC155989956_ResearchNote.zip, with its README). The pixel-level checks and multi-sector searches of the same two stars were already in 24_verification/ of version 1.0. The files of version 1.0 are unchanged.

The impact of agile practices on communication in software development

The study shows that agile practices improve both informal and formal communication, but indicates that, in larger development situations involving multiple external stakeholders, a mismatch of adequate communication mechanisms can sometimes even hinder the communication.

Introducing Quine: An AI research system designed for the complexity of biology

Biology doesn't operate in silos, and neither should the AI representation of it. Quine is an early-stage research effort to create a multimodal world model of biology. By connecting insights across biological scales and modalities, Quine helps scientists computationally search a space far larger than intuition allows and prioritize hypotheses before they reach the lab. Experimental results provide important feedback, helping researchers sharpen future research directions. The post Introducing Q…
