Abstract
Video summarization aims to condense long videos into compact and informative representations, but existing sequence-modeling and attention-based methods still face challenges in handling heterogeneous temporal rhythms, long-range semantic drift, and redundant background frames. This paper presents MASA, a parameter-compact framework built around Multi-Scale Contextual Alignment and Sequence-Adaptive Attention for frame-level importance prediction. MASA represents sampled videos as channel-replicated temporal-feature tensors; the replication provides an input-compatible form for the convolutional backbone but introduces no new spatial information. Multi-Scale Contextual Alignment constructs a video-conditioned prototype anchor and aligns local sequence patterns at complementary temporal receptive fields. Sequence-Adaptive Attention predicts a position-dependent Gaussian aperture, and Dual-Axis Feature Aggregation combines temporal and latent-feature responses before score prediction. Under the fixed five-fold protocol, MASA achieves Kendall’s tau/Spearman’s rho of 0.263/0.294 on SumMe and 0.196/0.258 on TVSum. A repeated-run study reports run-level variability and confidence intervals for representative component and kernel configurations, and the full model maintains stable advantages over the strongest same-code ablations on most matched runs. These results support competitive rank-correlation performance with an 11.44M-parameter scoring model, while the measured computational cost shows that parameter compactness should not be interpreted as low FLOPs.
A cross-modal temporal alignment framework that combines a multi-scale temporal convolutional encoder with capsule-based dynamic routing, jointly optimizing temporal boundary prediction, cross-modal semantic alignment, and capsule diversity is proposed.

Video generation has rapidly progressed from short, low-quality clips to high-resolution, long-duration sequences with complex spatiotemporal dynamics. Despite strong generative priors learned through large-scale pretraining, pretrained video models often fail to reliably follow human intent, maintain temporal coherenc...
This paper proposes an Intrinsic Temporal Adaptation (ITA) framework for PRVR, and introduces Affinity-Weighted Gradient Propagation to address the weakly supervised nature of PRVR, softly aggregating top-$k$ frames based on text-frame affinities and propagating learning signals to multiple query-relevant frames.

NeRF-based talking head methods can render individual frames with impressive fidelity, yet the assembled videos often flicker. The reason is structural: each frame is optimized independently, so nothing in the training objective ties frame t to frame t − 1. We present TemporalTalk, which closes this gap with three trai...

Video summarization aims to produce concise representations of videos by selecting the most informative frames or shots. Existing methods predominantly rely on unimodal visual features extracted from convolutional neural networks, overlooking the rich semantic information that natural language can provide. In this...

Video diffusion models repeatedly process long spatiotemporal token sequences during denoising, making attention a major computational bottleneck. Linear attention offers an appealing alternative and has been widely adopted in recent large language models, but directly applying it to video models often fails to preserv...
