TL;DR

The research suggests that technology management improves organizational outcomes via human resource effectiveness, and presents an integrated framework for understanding how technology might contribute to organizational success.

Abstract

The rapid evolution of digital technologies has transformed human resource management (HRM), opening new avenues for organizations to increase efficiency, decision-making, employe development, and overall performance. However, technology investment alone does not ensure good HR outcomes, since successful digital transformation is contingent on the alignment of technological capabilities, people competences, and organizational requirements. This conceptual paper investigates the relationship between technology management, digitalization, and human resource effectiveness, and it presents an integrated framework for understanding how technology might contribute to organizational success. The literature review focuses on three major areas: the phenomena of technology and digital transformation in HRM, the factors that influence the adoption and usage of digital technologies, and the effects of digitalization on HR practices. The synthesis lists technology readiness, perceived utility, digital competency, perceived ease of use, top management support, organizational culture, employe acceptability, training, and data security as critical elements impacting effective technology use. The research also shows that digital technology can improve HR efficiency, talent management, employe learning, performance management, and data-driven decision-making. Based on these findings, the research suggests that technology management improves organizational outcomes via human resource effectiveness. The framework has theoretical and practical implications for businesses that want to integrate technology and human talents to achieve long-term organizational efficiency in the digital age.
