Archetypes of digital entrepreneurs: integrating the Big Five and META theories with technological advancements
Abstract
Digital entrepreneurship has become a significant force in the modern economy, driven by the integration of digital tools and technological advancements in business practices. This study explores the archetypes of digital entrepreneurs by combining the Big Five personality traits (Extraversion, Agreeableness, Conscientiousness, Emotional Stability, and Openness) with the META theory dimensions (Entrepreneurial Proactivity, Creativity, Opportunism, and Vision). A comprehensive conceptual model is developed to examine the interaction between these traits, dimensions, and technologies such as AI, VR/AR, IoT, Cloud Computing, Social Media, and Cybersecurity in shaping entrepreneurial behaviors and outcomes. The findings identify six distinct archetypes of digital entrepreneurs: Innovative Creators, Opportunistic Strategists, Operational Efficiency Experts, Customer-Centric Innovators, Risk-Averse Technologists, and Global Networkers. These archetypes offer valuable insights for developing targeted support systems, educational programs, and policy interventions to nurture digital entrepreneurship. This study contributes to a deeper understanding of the interplay between personality, entrepreneurial behavior, and technology, providing a robust framework for future research.
