Abstract
Perovskite-type solid solutions of LaMn0.5Fe0.5+xO3±δ (x = 0–0.3) were synthesized via the Pechini method, followed by calcination at 800 °C and characterization via a complex of physicochemical techniques. Regardless of the Fe content, solid solutions are single-phase complex oxides with a perovskite structure, as confirmed by X-ray diffraction. A decrease in the particle size from 75 to 29 nm and an increase in the specific surface area from 8.79 to 32.68 m2/g with increasing iron content were observed. Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) revealed different chemical compositions between the surface and bulk layers of the solid solutions. Using these two methods, in conjunction with Mössbauer spectroscopy, it was shown that Fe2O3 oxide nanoparticles form on the surface of superstoichiometric perovskite-type oxides with x ≥ 0.2.
GdMn0.5M0.5O3 (M = Cr, Fe, Co) perovskites were synthesized by a glycine‐assisted solution combustion method. Phase formation and crystal structure were investigated by powder x‐ray diffraction, and Rietveld refinement confirmed single‐phase orthorhombic perovskites (space group Pnma). Refined structural parameters wer...

This study focuses on the compound (Na₀.₅Bi₀.₅)ₓMg₁₋ₓ[(Ti₀.₈Zr₀.₂)₀.₉(Nb₂⁄₃Zn₁/₃)₀.₁]O₃ (BNTZZN-x%Mg), which was synthesized using the molten salt method for x = 0.00, 0.02, 0.06, and 0.08. The resulting samples were calcined at 900 °C for 4 hours and subsequently sintered at 1150 °C. The measured densities were found...

Abstract Crystal growth involving the devitrification of glasses in the system Rb2O–Na2O–CaO–SiO2, prepared by quenching from 1,400 °C, was performed at 750 °C. The experiments resulted in the formation of the first known crystalline rubidium sodium calcium silicate, with a composition of RbNaCaSi4O10. Powder X-ray dif...

La1-xSrxMnO3-δ (x = 0, 0.15, 0.30 and 0.50) perovskite powders were synthesized by a modified Pechini sol-gel method. Differential thermal analysis revealed that heat treatment at approximately 800 °C is required for complete formation of the perovskite phase. X-ray diffraction analysis showed that the as-synthesized p...
