STRATEGIC APPROACHES TO THE UTILIZATION OF HUMAN CAPITAL AT ENTERPRISES: INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE

Abstract

The article examines strategic approaches to the utilization of human capital in enterprises through the synthesis of international experience and the identification of opportunities for its adaptation to the contemporary operating environment of Ukrainian enterprises. It is substantiated that, under the conditions of the digital transformation of the economy, globalization, and intensifying competition, human capital has become a key strategic resource determining the innovation potential, labor productivity, and competitiveness of enterprises.The study analyzes current global trends in human capital management, including the digitalization of HR processes, the application of HR analytics and artificial intelligence technologies, the development of digital and socio-communicative competencies, continuous professional learning, flexible forms of work organization, inclusiveness, and employee well-being initiatives. The principal global trends in the utilization of human capital are systematized, and their impact on enterprise performance is identified.A comparative analysis of human capital management models in Japan, the United States, Canada and Germany is conducted, making it possible to identify their distinctive features and promising practices for implementation in Ukraine. The findings demonstrate that the Japanese model is based on corporate training and mentoring, the American model emphasizes leadership development and individualized career management, while the German model focuses on vocational education and training, employee social support, and flexible work organization.The study summarizes contemporary global trends in human capital management and substantiates the possibilities for adapting best international practices and strategic approaches to workforce development to the specific circumstances and operational conditions of Ukrainian businesses during wartime.It is demonstrated that the integration of international experience, the development of employees' professional competencies, the implementation of modern HR technologies, and strategic investment in human capital will contribute to enhancing labor productivity, innovation performance, organizational adaptability, and the competitiveness of Ukrainian enterprises in the context of European integration and post-war economic recovery.
