Genome-wide association analysis identifies the genetic basis of coleoptile length and its relationship with green revolution dwarfing genes in bread wheat

Sep 2026 · Euphytica · Vol 222 · 0 citations · 58 references

TL;DR

The present data do not establish DArT4991238 as a coleoptile-length locus independent of the assayed dwarfing genes; therefore, candidate-gene inference from this 4BS marker interval was not retained in the present study and highlight the importance of further investigation into the genetic determinants influencing coleoptile length.

Genome-wide association mapping and functional annotation of loci conferring resistance to Pyrenophora teres f. teres in barley

The results demonstrate that NFNB resistance is polygenic and developmentally stage-dependent, with partly distinct mechanisms underlying adult plant and seedling resistance, with partly distinct mechanisms underlying adult plant and seedling resistance.

Genome-wide association analysis of fiber-related traits and identification of diagnostic SNP markers differentiating spelt wheat (Triticum spelta L.) from bread wheat

Introduction Spelt wheat (Triticum spelta L.) represents a valuable genetic resource within hexaploid wheat due to its high genetic diversity and adaptation to low-input agricultural systems; however, the genetic basis of its dietary fiber composition remains poorly understood. This study aimed to identify genomic regi...

Genome-Wide Association Study and Identification of Core Candidate Genes for Shoot and Root Length in Wheat During Germination

The genetic architecture and core candidate genes for shoot length (SL) and root length (RL) at the germination stage are dissected and seven core candidate genes for SL and 13 for RL are identified, including three pleiotropic genes regulating both traits.

Multi-Omics Analysis of White Leaf Spot in Maize Resistance: Integrated GWAS, BSA-Seq, and RNA-Seq Identifies Candidate Genes and Facilitates Germplasm Evaluation

The epidemic expansion of maize white leaf spot (WLS) is a substantial threat to the secure and sustained production of maize. Given its diversity and strong environmental adaptability, WLS has the potential to emerge as a globally prevalent disease affecting maize crops. A detailed exploration of genetic segments and...

Genome-wide Association Study of Total Root Weight at the Seedling Stage in Korean Rice Cultivars (Oryza sativa L.)

Root biomass is an important determinant of seedling vigor that contributes to water and nutrient acquisition in rice (Oryza sativa L.). In this study, we evaluated the total root weight (TRW) of 127 Korean rice cultivars, comprising 110 temperate japonica (TEJ) and 17 Tongil-type cultivars, under hydroponic conditions...
