Abstract

: Over the past years, China has paid more attention to the development of the digital economy and proposed green development concepts that include carbon peaking and carbon neutrality. As such, one of the issues that should be addressed urgently is how the physical businesses can implement digital technology to achieve a green transformation. The current research explains the two conceptualizations of the digital economy and green transformation in corporations, overviews positive examples of the successful transformations of different businesses, and clarifies theoretical premise and practical processes of the successful transformations. These mechanisms offer referenceable strategies of green change to some new enterprises and those trying to change towards green allowing them to seek a green change route befitting their own enterprises depending on their individualities. The paper also integrates the heterogeneous findings of numerous literature works to examine the varied effects of the digital economy on business with various ownership, economic development, and pollution of the natural environment, and lastly suggests policy recommendations to the government, business, and commercial banks on intellectual property protection, capital investment, talent introduction, and uniform environmental risks management.
