Abstract

The cultivation of college students’ employability in textile engineering and fiber science is an important indicator of higher education quality and directly affects individual development and industrial human resource allocation. To construct a systematic student development support system, this paper begins with an analysis of employability structure and clarifies the cultivation priorities of professional ability, general ability, and adaptability. The support system includes four dimensions: curriculum teaching, practical training, career guidance, and resource guarantee, and it forms an educational synergy through collaborative mechanisms. Its effective operation relies on professional teaching teams, informatized platform construction, and dynamic evaluation and feedback. The system runs through the whole process from enrollment to employment and strengthens an ability-oriented educational philosophy aligned with industrial demand. For emerging engineering fields, including smart textiles, electromagnetic sensing, wireless communication, and advanced fiber systems, the framework emphasizes that employability support should connect disciplinary knowledge, practical engineering platforms, and adaptive career development to improve students’ capacity for technological innovation and workplace transition.
