Abstract

Objective. This study examines publication trends, citation patterns, collaboration, and research themes in the International Journal of Innovation and Technology Management (IJITM) from 2004 to 2025. Design/Methodology/Approach. To reduce single-source coverage bias, records from Web of Science and Scopus were combined into one corpus. After applying document-type and publication-year filters, 937 records were obtained from Web of Science and 940 from Scopus. After removing duplicates, a final corpus of 974 documents was produced. We used Bibliometrix, Biblioshiny, and VOSviewer for analysis and visualization. Results. From 2004 to 2024, the journal grew at a rate of 5.30 percent per year. However, the contraction in 2025 reduced the overall rate to 0.68 percent. Year-adjusted citation performance strengthened after 2017. Among authors with at least two documents, the largest connected component contains 11 of 229 authors; co-authorship network density is 0.006. In contrast, the bibliographic coupling density is 0.099. The thematic focus shifted from technology management to digital transformation and then to sustainability, governance, and digital entrepreneurship. Conclusions. The journal shows mature theoretical foundations, a research agenda in transition, and a fragmented collaboration structure. Shared references coexist with limited co-authorship ties in the networks examined. Originality/Value. This study is the first bibliometric analysis of IJITM that combines Web of Science and Scopus records. Comparing co-authorship, document citation, and bibliographic coupling networks distinguishes collaboration patterns from shared intellectual foundations within the journal.
