Abstract

The tendency is growing toward the development of enterprise software in an adaptive and iterative approach as opposed to strictly process-driven models. Although the Agile practices have resulted in better flexibility and responsiveness, it is still evident that there are challenges that extend to large-scale enterprise environments that are associated with coordination and governance as well as reliable quality assurance. The research problem is determining the effects of organization maturity on software quality when transitioning to the use of Agile software as a replacement of the Waterfall method in a large-scale enterprise transformation. The study measures key dimensions of maturity which are process standardization, team collaboration, leadership support, and technological readiness and their effect on quality measures of software such as defect density, maintainability, and delivery consistency. The study based on empirical analysis in the context of enterprise level development shows that greater organizational maturity leads to significant improvement in the quality of software while being able to sustain its development practices. The results emphasize the fact that effective Agile transformation cannot be achieved only through the adoption of the methodology but through the maturity of organizational structures that facilitate Agile. The book offers information towards establishing resilience, extensive, and enduring software systems in complicated enterprise settings.
