Abstract

Music source separation systems typically extract a single vocal track and do not distinguish between multiple singers. We study singer-informed vocal source separation for multi-singer mixtures. Our framework introduces a short enrollment recording of a target singer to guide separation through a learned embedding. The singer embedding is incorporated using feature concatenation or feature-wise linear modulation (FiLM), enabling the model to focus on the target singer while suppressing interference. We construct a duet dataset based on DAMP-VSEP with quality filtering and non-overlapping enrollment segments. Experiments on solo and duet settings show that while baseline models perform well for single-singer mixtures, the proposed method improves target-singer extraction in multi-singer cases, increasing target-singer SI-SDR from 0.33 dB to 5.58 dB. Fr\'echet Audio Distance (FAD) further shows improved perceptual quality and better alignment with target audio distributions. Lead Vocal Separation from Vocal Ensemble Mixtures Using Phoneme Alignment

Experimental results show that phoneme-alignment conditioning improves Vo separation performance over an audio-only baseline and yields larger average gains than conditioning only on Vo singing/silence activity, and analysis suggests that the advantage of phoneme-label information is larger when fewer remaining vocal p...

Adapting Personalized Speech Enhancement for Low-Latency Audio-Visual Target-Speaker Extraction

Online audio-visual target-speaker extraction aims to remove competing voices while preserving speech quality and bounding lookahead. Existing extractors are built and evaluated for separation on synthetic mixtures, leaving listening quality and meeting behavior largely untested. We introduce Audio-Visual Personalized...

Speaker Tracking: Segment-online Multi-talker Organization with a Varying Number of Speakers

Speaker tracking is the task of separating and following multiple speakers over time. It must address overlapped speech, speech onset and offset, talker identity, and time-varying speaker count. We propose a segment-online, modular framework for single- and multi-channel speaker tracking. The proposed system first perf...

SepRQ : Self-Supervised Speech Mixture Representation Learning via Mask-Free, Multi-Scale Source Separation

Self-supervised learning (SSL) is standard for speech representation learning, but mainstream models are designed around single-speaker audio, limiting their usefulness in multi-speakers scenarios. We present SepRQ, an open-source SSL framework that replaces masked prediction with a pseudo-source-separation objective o...

Multimodal Target Speaker Extraction: Towards Unified Speaker Cues Across Modalities

Target Speaker Extraction (TSE) is pivotal in speech communication and human-computer interaction, enabling the isolation of a specific speaker's voice from complex acoustic environments, i.e., the cocktail party scenario. Although traditional TSE systems conditioned on enrollment speech have progressed substantially,...

Hi-Singers: A Comprehensive High-Quality Dataset for Expressive Audio-Driven Singing Head Synthesis

State-of-the-art models for audio-driven digital human generation have achieved photo-realistic results in talking-head synthesis. However, extending these models to singing-head synthesis remains challenging due to a significant Domain Gap: singing requires more exaggerated expressions, vivid jaw openings, and precise...
