Analysis of the stress-strain state of the gas pipeline under low-temperature impacts
Abstract
The article presents a study of the stress-strain state of the main gas pipeline, taking into account soil movements. The problem of pipelines operation in conditions of permafrost soils, which are subject to changes in strength characteristics with temperature change, is considered. The authors analyze existing modeling methods and perform numerical calculations based on the ANSYS software complex. Examples of calculations of static loads and impact of low temperatures on the pipeline are given. The stages of gas pipeline modeling and selection of appropriate calculation methods for analysis of complex operation scenarios are described. The focus is on modeling the influence of temperature conditions on deformations and stresses both in the pipeline walls and in the adjacent soil. The results of the numerical analysis allow us to evaluate the behavior of the pipeline under various operating conditions and develop recommendations for its safe operation. The study confirms the effectiveness of using numerical methods to assess the technical condition of pipelines and predict possible accidents.
