Abstract

Climate change has profoundly impacted diverse ecosystems and affected nearly all economic sectors and industries. Consequently, enterprises find themselves confronted with unavoidable climate-related challenges and are increasingly driven to embrace social responsibility, thereby accelerating the transition toward a sustainable economy. It is imperative to help achieve this objective by establishing a comprehensive practical framework. To address this challenge, this research introduces an integrated approach combining HFWFSA (hybrid filter-wrapper feature selection algorithm) and the fuzzy DEMATEL (Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory) model, leveraging insights from domain experts through a questionnaire and enabling users to identify crucial information and visualize the intricate relationships among different criteria. Our practical and valuable framework can help guide senior management in implementing robust measures for corporate sustainability in the context of climate change. Research findings indicate that, in terms of dimensions, the factors influencing sustainability are ranked in the following order: corporate governance, corporate risk management, metrics and goals, and corporate strategy. Moreover, within separate dimension, the key influencing factors are board oversight, risk response strategies, overall risk management, and low carbon policy. Therefore, to establish a sustainable development framework, businesses should prioritize these findings as key considerations to reduce environmental pressure.
