Abstract
: With the deepening of the concept of sustainable development, environment, society and governance (ESG) have become an indispensable part of corporate strategy. Excellent ESG performance can not only effectively manage risks, but also be the key to building a long-term competitive advantage for enterprises. However, for many enterprises, it is a great difficulty to effectively implement the macro ESG strategy. It is important for enterprises to consider not only the form and light on effectiveness to break through the barriers between departments and transform them into measurable business value. Taking Midea Group as an example, this study focuses on the systematic mechanism of Midea Group's "governance structure-operation process-resource guarantee", revealing the impact of the collaboration between the Sustainable Development Committee of the Board of Directors of Midea Group and the eight professional subcommittees on the performance of ESG. This research aims to provide a practical framework for enterprises facing the same problem to change from strategic design to practical value creation.
