Development of Professional Competencies in Future Physicians

Abstract

The relevance of the topic is determined by the need to improve the educational process in the context of implementing modern medical technologies, the digitalization of healthcare, and increasing requirements for the quality of medical services. Research purpose: To investigate the features of developing professional competencies among future medical personnel and to identify effective methods and technologies that contribute to improving the quality of their professional training. Materials and methods: The study employed both theoretical and empirical research methods aimed at examining the formation of professional competencies among future medical personnel. The theoretical component included the analysis and synthesis of scientific, pedagogical, and methodological literature on the competency-based approach in medical education, as well as the review of regulatory and legal documents governing the training of healthcare professionals. Research results: The comprehensive application of the competency-based approach and innovative educational technologies contributes to the effective development of professional competencies among future medical personnel. Students acquire stable professional knowledge, improve their practical skills, increase their motivation for learning and self-development, and strengthen their readiness for professional activity in modern healthcare settings. Conclusions: The formation of professional competencies among future medical personnel is a continuous and multi-level process that requires the improvement of educational content, the implementation of modern teaching methods, and the creation of conditions for the professional development of future healthcare specialists.
