MANAGERIAL AND ECONOMIC DETERMINANTS OF MANUFACTURING DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION
Abstract
The relevance of the study is driven by the accelerating digital transformation of enterprise production activities, which is accompanied by fundamental changes in approaches to planning, organization, control, and managerial decision-making. The study aims to substantiate the theoretical foundations of enterprise management under the digital transformation of production processes, identify the specific impact of modern digital technologies on manufacturing activities, and develop a digital transformation model of manufacturing process management. The study employs methods of theoretical generalization and systematization to clarify the conceptual framework, comparative analysis to examine modern digital technologies and their functional roles, a systems approach to substantiate the interrelationships between digital technologies, production processes, and managerial decisions, and graphical modeling to develop the author's model of the digital transformation of production process management. The findings distinguish the concepts of digitization, digitalization, and digital transformation, and identify the specific roles of automation, robotics, artificial intelligence, the Industrial Internet of Things, digital platforms, and data analytics in manufacturing management. It is substantiated that the greatest economic benefits are achieved when digital technologies are integrated into a unified enterprise management system, enabling higher labor productivity, more efficient utilization of production resources, reduced non-value-added costs, improved product quality, and more timely order fulfillment. A model of the digital transformation of manufacturing process management is proposed, illustrating the sequential relationship between digital technologies, production processes, managerial decisions, economic outcomes, and the development of competitive advantages. The practical significance of the research lies in the potential to apply the proposed recommendations to developing enterprise digital strategies, improving production planning, organizing resource management and implementing advanced digital technologies in production activities.
