LIGHT INDUSTRY OF RUSSIA IN MOD-ERN CONDITIONS

Abstract

The real sector of the Russian economy, under the influence of tough sanctions bar-riers that slow down the economic and pro-duction activity of industrial enterprises, is faced with a new economic reality, which makes it urgent to search for new ways of development. The object of research is light industry, one of the most import-dependent industries. The article examines the situa-tion that has developed after the introduc-tion of restrictions by unfriendly countries, and the heads of industry enterprises are forced to build new supply chains, which is a negative factor for manufacturers and consumers. At the same time, the domestic light industry has a chance to develop. Af-ter the departure of foreign brands, the va-cant niche is gradually filled not only with the products of new foreign manufacturers, but also with clothes from Russian design-ers. The article shows the dynamics of the production index and the volume of shipped goods by types of economic activity of the domestic light industry from 2018 to 2024. Analysis of statistical data showed diverse industry results.
