Design, Functionalities, and Emerging Applications of Ti3C2Tx MXene-Based Composites: A Review
Abstract
The rise of two-dimensional (2D) materials is crucial for advancing modern life and industry. Ti 3 C 2 T x MXenes have attracted significant attention due to their conductivity, natural hydrophilicity, diverse termination groups, and impressive mechanical properties, offering unique advantages in practical applications. When Ti 3 C 2 T x MXene are combined with metal oxide semiconductors and polymers to create functional composites, their applications span multiple fields, including gas sensors, photocatalytic CO 2 reduction, and energy storage. This review will focus on the synthesis methods and physicochemical properties of Ti 3 C 2 T x MXene nanosheets, and will discuss their various applications. Finally, based on the pros and cons of the current research status, the challenges and opportunities for improving MXene-based composites are investigated. This review aims to summarize the latest research results in recent years, offering constructive insights for 2D materials studies.
