THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL FOUNDATIONS OF SUSTAINABLE ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT
Abstract
The article examines the theoretical and methodological foundations of sustainable enterprise development under contemporary challenges: sanction pressures, digital transformation, logistics chain disruptions, and the integration of new territories. The study aims to develop a methodological approach to managing the sustainable development of enterprises in the Russian Federation and the LPR, accounting for government support, digitalization, and integration processes. Based on systems analysis and a critical literature review, sustainability is reconceptualized not as a static equilibrium, but as a dynamic process of continuous adaptation and timely modernization of business processes. Key characteristics of sustainable development are identified: adaptability, digital agility, resource autonomy, socio-demographic stability, and ecological rehabilitation. The authors propose supplementing traditional parameters with elements of cybersecurity, supply diversification, and import substitution. The transition from rigid planning to a scenario-based approach, which ensures rapid response to emerging risks, is substantiated. The research findings establish a scientific foundation for enterprise management under conditions of instability and can be utilized in the development of long-term business strategies.
