Abstract

In response to the stator loss problem of surface-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motors, based on the Maxwell 2D electromagnetic simulation model and combined with the parameter optimization method, the formation mechanism of stator loss is analyzed. The thickness of the permanent magnet and the pole-arc coefficient are optimized with the equivalent output torque of the motor as the constraint. The research results show that although the average electromagnetic torque decreases by 2.68%, the torque ripple is reduced by 10%, the stator loss is reduced by 0.47%, and the overall performance of the motor is improved.
