Abstract

The article identifies the industry-specific features of the organizational and economic determinants of sustainable development of industrial enterprises of the Lugansk People's Republic. The regional conditions of industrial functioning are characterized, including institutional transformation, disruption of cooperative and sales ties, infrastructural and logistical constraints, and shortages of investment resources and human capital. Using systematization and grouping methods, comparative analysis, the method of analogies and case analysis of the activities of leading enterprises in metallurgy, the coal industry and machine building, an industry-specific regional concretization of the determinants of sustainable development is carried out. It is established that the structure of the determinants is universal, but their priority differs significantly across industries: production costs and resource and energy availability dominate in metallurgy, the institutional environment and state support in the coal industry, and human resources potential and the restoration of cooperative ties in machine building. The adaptive-restorative nature of the sustainability of the region's enterprises is substantiated, which necessitates a differentiated industry-based approach to managing sustainable development, including in the development of industry-specific and regional industrial development programs.
