University Pedagogy: An Alternative View
Abstract
This monograph examines issues of university pedagogy. It offers a critique of the positivist approach to understanding the problems of pedagogical theory and practice. A universal principle is affirmed in man (the subject of education), without which it is impossible to define the conceptual framework of the academic discipline. An alternative reading of pedagogy is proposed: an appeal to the categories of the student's primordial spirituality, the presence of universal semantics and intentions in the human psyche, and interaction with the student on an idealistic-intuitive basis. The methodology of the work is based on A.A. Gagaev's idealistic-substrate reflection. The book is addressed to education specialists, students of pedagogical universities, and anyone interested in Russian education.
