Integrating Total Quality Management, Innovative Classroom Management, and 5R Culture to Enhance the Quality of Islamic Educational Institutions
Abstract
The evolution of educational institution governance in the era of global competition necessitates management reforms focused on service quality. Private institutions particularly those with a religious foundation often face existential threats stemming from declining public interest, caused by an inability to compete in terms of quality against public schools or other elite private institutions. This study aims to analyze a model integrating Total Quality Management, innovative classroom management, and the 5R culture to revitalize the quality of Islamic educational institutions. It examines the dynamics and effectiveness of this convergence and formulates theoretical-practical propositions regarding determining factors and resolution strategies to ensure the sustainability of a comprehensive integrated quality management system. Employing a qualitative approach and field research methodology, the study gathered data through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through an interactive, continuous process based on the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña model. Research indicates that the convergence of “adab”-based total quality management, innovative classroom management, and the 5R culture effectively restructures the quality of Islamic educational institutions in a holistic manner. The integration of these three pillars successfully revitalizes students' intrinsic motivation through psychological classroom comfort and ice-breaking strategies. Simultaneously, the adoption of the 5R culture transforms physical facilities into instruments of prophetic aesthetics that reduce cognitive stress while serving as a decisive entry point for the extrinsic satisfaction of external stakeholders.
