Peran Penyuluh Agama Islam dalam Menanamkan Nilai-Nilai Keagamaan pada Remaja di Desa Huta Pasir
Abstract
This study aims to describe the role of Islamic religious counselors in instilling religious values in adolescents in Huta Pasir Village, to identify the religious values instilled, and to examine the supporting and inhibiting factors in the guidance process. This research used a qualitative approach with a descriptive field research design. The data sources consisted of the main informant, namely the Islamic religious counselor, and supporting informants, including adolescents, mosque youth administrators, and community leaders. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The validity of the data was strengthened through source triangulation and technique triangulation. The results of the study show that Islamic religious counselors play a role in instilling religious values in adolescents through informative, educative, consultative, and advocative functions. The religious values instilled include the values of faith, worship, and morality. The supporting factors in the guidance process include the support of community leaders and parents, the existence of mosque youth organizations, and the enthusiasm of some adolescents in participating in religious activities. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors include the limited number of counselors, residential distance, the negative influence of social media, peer pressure, and the emergence of deviant religious understandings. Therefore, Islamic religious counselors have an important role in shaping the religious understanding, awareness, and behavior of adolescents in Huta Pasir Village.
