Abstract

This article, from a Point/Counterpoint on implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) in breast imaging, argues that key issues must be addressed before wider adoption, including medicolegal ambiguities, impact on disparities, data drift, and scaling costs. More robust infrastructure and regulations will ultimately be needed to guide appropriate AI deployment.
