DIGITIZATION OF TRANSPORT AND LOGISTICS ENTERPRISES AS A FACTOR FOR ACTIVATING INVESTMENT ACTIVITIES
Abstract
The digital transformation of transport and logistics enterprises is becoming increasingly important under conditions of technological change, market uncertainty, globalisation and growing requirements for the efficiency, flexibility and resilience of logistics systems. The relevance of the study is determined by the need to strengthen the investment activity of transport and logistics enterprises through the introduction of modern digital technologies and the development of appropriate digital infrastructure. Digitalisation is increasingly viewed not only as a tool for automating individual business processes but also as an important prerequisite for transforming business models, improving resource management and creating new opportunities for investment development. The paper addresses the theoretical and methodological issues of digitalisation of transport and logistics enterprises and its relationship with investment activity. Particular attention is devoted to the economic nature of digital transformation, the role of digital technologies in the organisation and management of logistics processes, and the factors determining the readiness of enterprises to implement digital solutions. The study considers the application of digital platforms, cloud technologies, the Internet of Things, Big Data, artificial intelligence, automated management systems and electronic document management in transport and logistics activities. The paper also discusses the main approaches to assessing the level of digital maturity and investment activity of transport and logistics enterprises. The importance of developing a system of indicators that reflects technological readiness, the degree of automation, digital integration, data management, digital competencies, cybersecurity and investment potential is emphasised. Particular attention is paid to the need to examine the interrelationship between the level of digitalisation and the intensity of investment processes. The relevance of these issues is particularly significant for Ukraine, where transport and logistics enterprises operate under conditions of war-related risks, infrastructure disruption, changing logistics routes, limited financial resources and the need to integrate into the European transport and economic space. Therefore, the study of digitalisation as a factor of investment activity is important for ensuring the adaptability, competitiveness and long-term development of transport and logistics enterprises.
