Towards the LEMASIMIN Leadership Model in Educational Human Resource Management: A PRISMA-Based Systematic Literature Review

Sep 2026 · Journal of Business Management and Economic Development · 0 citations

Abstract

Educational leadership plays a critical role in strengthening human resource management to address the challenges of organizational change and digital transformation. However, existing leadership models, such as transformational, instructional, distributed, servant, and strategic leadership, generally emphasize specific leadership functions without offering an integrated framework for educational human resource management. This study aims to develop the LEMASIMIN Leadership Model through a systematic synthesis of the literature. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was conducted following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines. Articles were collected from the Scopus, Web of Science, ERIC, Crossref, and Dimensions databases. After identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion, 25 articles were selected for thematic analysis. The findings indicate that educational leadership has evolved into a multidimensional concept encompassing strategic direction, human resource development, organizational management, innovation, motivation, communication, and inspiration. Based on the synthesis, the proposed LEMASIMIN model consists of nine dimensions: Leader, Educator, Manager, Administrator, Supervisor, Innovator, Motivator, Inspiration, and Narrator. These dimensions extend Leithwood's three core leadership practices, Setting the Direction, Developing People, and Redesigning the Organization, by providing a more comprehensive framework for managing educational human resources in the digital era. This study contributes to educational leadership theory by proposing an integrated conceptual model and offers practical guidance for educational leaders and policymakers in developing adaptive, collaborative, and sustainable human resource management strategies. Future studies are encouraged to validate the LEMASIMIN model across different educational contexts.
