AUDIOVISUAL COMO LEITURA DE MUNDO
Abstract
This text presents audiovisual media as a way of understanding the world, based on the analysis of two interconnected experiences: the creation and production of the short film *Quase tudo sobre minha avó* (Almost Everything About My Grandmother), by the Center for Scenic-Visual Studies and Creation (NEC) at the State University of Maringá (UEM), and the cultural mediation of this filmic artifact with students in Basic Education at a high school in Rio Claro, in the interior of São Paulo state. It was considered that the articulation between university production and school mediation highlights scenic-audiovisual practices that enhance an expanded art education, in which reception, production, and circulation intertwine in critical and creative formative processes. The analysis was based on theoretical and practical references on audiovisual media, performance, and education, as well as institutional documents and the circulation of the audiovisual work in festivals and exhibitions. It was concluded that the integration between university, school, and community contributed to the consolidation of cultural and pedagogical policies aimed at cultural and creative citizenship, strengthening cinema/audiovisual media within the context of art and education.
