Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of honesty crises among elementary school students, such as cheating on exams, copying classmates' homework, and lying to avoid punishment. Formal school regulations often result only in pseudo-compliance, thus requiring a spiritual alternative through an anti-corruption fiqh approach. This study aims to analyze the conceptual understanding of honesty, trust (amanah), theft, and corruption in Islam, as well as to explore strategies for instilling honesty values using the concepts of mas'uliyyah (accountability) and muraqabah (the feeling of being observed by Allah). The research method employed is a descriptive qualitative approach. The study was conducted at SD Negeri 27 Pangkalpinang, involving all 30 students of the 5th grade as research subjects. Data collection techniques included passive participant observation, semi-structured interviews with the principal, classroom teacher, and students, alongside documentation and recording techniques. The results indicate that implementing the anti-corruption fiqh approach application-wise and contextually via PowerPoint media, case discussions, and exemplary Islamic narratives (uswah hasanah) successfully shifted students' motivation for honesty from pseudo-compliance due to fear of punishment into sincere spiritual awareness. Students demonstrated increased self-confidence in exams and awareness to reject cheating. This success was fully supported by the integration of the character strengthening program (P5), fair school regulations, and consistent collaboration with parents
