Abstract

Quinoline-derived analogues have considerable significant attention due to their wide range of pharmacological activities and promising therapeutic applications. The recent advancements in the synthesis of quinoline-based hybrid, bioconjugates, highlighting their role in enhancing pharmacological properties and targeting specific biological pathways is very important to study due to its vast activity potential. The present topic is based on various synthetic strategies employed to develop hybrid structures, including the incorporation of quinoline moieties into diverse pharmacophores through innovative coupling and conjugation methods. The study of hybrids with improved efficacy in antimalarial, anticancer and antibacterial activities and emphasising their structure-activity relationships (SARs) and molecular mechanisms of action is also existing in this present topic. The integration of these moieties with other bioactive fragments is shown to offer synergistic effects, leading to compounds with potent and selective biological profiles. Looking ahead, several future directions are identified to further advance the field, including the exploration of new synthetic methodologies to streamline the production of quinoline hybrids and the use of computational techniques for more precise design and optimisations. Collaborative efforts in structural biology and pharmacokinetics are also crucial for the advancement of these compounds. Overall, continued innovation and interdisciplinary research will be essential for realising the full potential of quinoline based hybrids in therapeutic applications.
