Abstract

The healthcare sector is going through a massive digital transformation that includes many technologies that facilitate the lives of patients and workers in the sector. Therefore, cybersecurity enhancements in this sector are an urgent necessity to protect sensitive data and ensure the continuity of safe healthcare services. This article conducted a systematic literature review (SLR) to identify the factors affecting cybersecurity in digital transformation, the methods used to protect systems, and the gaps in cybersecurity research within the healthcare sector. The review analyzed high-quality studies in the literature published in reputable journals to ensure the credibility of the findings. The results analysis of 90 studies showed that privacy concerns, trust, awareness, and training were the most common influencing factors. This study is among the first to explore the types of relationships between factors influencing cybersecurity in digital transformation, focusing on direct and indirect impact. Furthermore, the study included a discussion of the role of digital technologies in healthcare and the challenges they face, as well as a focus on the methods researchers have developed to address privacy and security issues.
