Abstract

The study aimed to investigate the effect of various feed additives on milk productivity of Red Steppe cows. The work was carried out in the Orenburg region. Four groups (n=10) were formed for the study. Animals in the control received the basic diet, while those in group I were additionally given Cellobacterin+ at a dose of 50 g/head/day, group II – AntiKlos at a dose of 50 g/head/day, and group III – an organic complex of microelements Se at a dose of 0.1 mg/kg dry matter, as well as Zn at a dose of 140 mg/kg dry matter. The introduction of biologically active additives into the diet contributed to the optimisation of metabolism and an increase in the intensity of protein metabolism. The level of total protein in the blood serum increased by 27.5-32.9% (p≤0.001), albumin – by 13.9-27.9 (p≤0.05), compared to the control. Haemoglobin concentration increased by 5.2-14.4%, and glucose concentration by 2.5-3.9 times. The greatest increase in average daily milk yield was observed in experimental groups I and III – by 5.7% and 6.6%. The enzymatic probiotic supplement Cellobacterin+ significantly accelerated milk coagulation, shortening the coagulation phase by 1 minute 47 seconds compared to the control, and ensuring the shortest gelation phase (3 minutes 15 seconds). Overall, its use provided the greatest effect, resulting in increased milk productivity and improved milk quality, which allows us to recommend Cellobacterin+ for use in cow feeding during the summer.
