Structural types and transformation features of phraseologisms in Yunna Morits' late poetic texts (SkvOzero poetry collection, 2014)

Abstract

This article analyzes the structural types of phraseological units present in the late poetic texts of Yunna Morits. It is established that the majority of the identified idiomatic units are genetically equivalent to word combinations, while wordform phraseologisms and sentence-level phraseologisms are much less frequently employed by the narrator. Special attention is given to the transformations that general-language phraseologisms undergo within the author's artistic space. The examined transformation types include component expansion and phraseologism reanalysis, alteration of the component order in set phrases, substitution of a phraseologism component, and the creation of occasional idiomatic units based on conventional models. The study demonstrates that modifications involving the transition of phraseological units into a different structural type serve as a means to achieve specific artistic goals. In particular, the acquisition or loss of predicativity leads to significant changes in the original meaning. The research is conducted on the material of the 2014 poetry collection SkvOzero. A "broad" approach to the scope of phraseology is employed.
