DIGITAL MATURITY AS A CONDITION FOR INNOVATIVE DEVELOPMENT OF ELECTRONIC INDUSTRY ENTERPRISES

Sep 2026 · Economy · 0 citations

Abstract

The article examines digital maturity as a condition for the innovative development of enterprises in the electronics industry. The relevance of the study is due to the implementation of the state policy of technological sovereignty, the need for accelerated development of domestic high‑tech industries, and the specific nature of the electronics industry, whose products determine the technological level of most knowledge‑intensive sectors of the economy. The author shows that the active implementation of individual digital solutions does not ensure the achievement of digital maturity: companies often use disparate tools without creating a unified integrated environment. Based on an analysis of scientific literature, existing models for assessing digital maturity, and the specific features of the electronic industry, the authors propose a system of criteria grouped by functional characteristics: strategic awareness and systematic approach to digital development; digital manageability and integration of production processes; digital support for ensuring the quality and reliability of electronic products; integration of digital solutions into the management of the life cycle of electronic products; and personnel and organizational readiness for digital transformations. It is emphasized that digital maturity is a comprehensive characteristic that reflects a company’s ability to systematically use digital technologies to improve management efficiency, optimize production processes, and ensure sustainable innovative development. Special attention is paid to sector‑specific features: the high technological complexity of products, long development cycles, multi‑stage production processes, and increased requirements for quality and reliability. It is substantiated that the key factor in digital maturity is not the presence of individual digital tools, but their coordinated use within a unified management system. The obtained results can be used in developing methodological approaches to assessing the level of digital maturity of enterprises in the electronics industry and in forming strategies for their digital development.
