COMPUTER ENGINEERING AND CYBERSECURITY INTEGRATION IN CYBER-PHYSICAL & ROBOTIC SYSTEMS
Abstract
This article comprehensive survey investigates the critical intersection of Computer Engineering and Cybersecurity within the domain of modern cyber-physical and robotic infrastructure. As embedded architectures migrate toward distributed edge-cloud computing paradigms, physical actuators and autonomous controllers become increasingly exposed to network-borne cyber threats. This paper explores hardware-level security mechanisms (TPM, TrustZone, HSM), low-latency embedded operating systems, encrypted network protocols (TLS/DTLS), threat modeling, and defensive architectures designed to protect modern industrial, medical, and autonomous systems.
