Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran Komik Digital untuk Meningkatkan Literasi Kebencanaan Siswa Kelas V Sekolah Dasar
Abstract
This research is motivated by the low level of disaster literacy of students on earthquake material in elementary schools. The learning process is still dominated by conventional methods and the use of learning media that are less interactive, making it difficult for students to understand earthquake mitigation concepts and appropriate preparedness actions. Therefore, an interesting and interactive learning medium is needed to help students understand disaster-related information in a more concrete and contextual way. This research aims to develop a digital comic media that is feasible, practical, and effective to improve disaster literacy of fifth grade students of SDN Lenggahjaya 01. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model which includes the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews, questionnaires, tests, and documentation, while data analysis uses quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of the study show that the digital comic media obtained a validation percentage of media experts of 96.67%, linguists 100%, and material experts 89.58% with a very feasible category. Teacher responses obtained a percentage of 88.00% with a very good category, while student responses obtained a percentage of 83.33% in small-scale trials and increased to 89% in large-scale trials with a very interesting category. The results of the effectiveness test showed that the average pre-test score increased from 46.88 to 84.22 in the post-test, with an N-Gain value of 0.69 in the moderate category and an N-Gain percentage of 68.89% in the effective category. In addition, the percentage of student attitudes increased from 69.61% to 88.59%, while the results of skill observations obtained a percentage of 80.16% in the good category. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the developed digital comic media is feasible, practical, and effective to be used to improve disaster literacy of fifth grade students at SDN Lenggahjaya 01.
