Analysis of the High-Quality Development Path of China's Green Economy under the Dual Carbon Target
Abstract
Global climate change is intensifying. China has proposed the goals of peaking carbon emissions and achieving carbon neutrality, commonly known as "dual carbon", which provides a core strategic direction for the comprehensive green transformation of the economic and social system. This article will systematically review the scale layout, technological innovation, and consumption of China's green economy based on industry data, energy statistics, and policy documents from 2008 to 2025, and analyze the bottleneck that limits the country's high-quality development. This study adopts industrial economics and institutional analysis methods, combined with the characteristics of domestic industrial operation and international green trade rules, and finds that the imbalance of industrial structure, insufficient core green technology capabilities, single green financing channels, and inconsistent green standard systems jointly hinder the low-carbon transformation process. On this basis, this article proposes targeted paths from the aspects of industrial upgrading, factor guarantee, and institutional improvement, aiming to promote the coordinated development of green industries, technology, finance, and markets, accelerate the construction of a complete green economic system, and provide theoretical reference and practical decision-making basis for achieving the dual carbon strategy and enhancing China's competiveness in the global green supply chain.
