A RAIVA COMO CATALISADOR
Abstract
This article analyzes the uses of anger in pop music produced by Black LGBTQIAPN+ artists in Brazil, based on a corpus comprising "* bomba pra caralho" by Linn da Quebrada, Alice Guél, and POV3DA (2020); "Ain't I a Woman?" by Luedji Luna (2020); and "Não é comigo" by Rico Dalasam (2021). Drawing on Audre Lorde's reflections on the political uses of anger, articulated with the thought of bell hooks, Patricia Hill Collins, Lélia Gonzalez, and Grada Kilomba, the paper argues that the anger expressed in these texts is not emotional excess but an epistemological affect: a form of knowledge, resistance, and reinscription of Black and dissident subjectivities in the political and sensory field. The analysis also considers pop music as a cultural mediation device capable of circulating historically marginalized discourses, producing fissures in cisheteronormative and whitened hegemonies. The article was developed in the context of the course "Poéticas do desabrigo: circulações de mundos no contexto da Diáspora Negra", at the Graduate Program in Letters: Literary Studies at UFJF.
