Abstract

The study is relevant because management systems must adapt to dynamic changes in the digital environment, the growing role of distributed teams, the increasing dependence of business processes on digital interaction, and the need to maintain stable team coordination amid the transformation of organizational work models. The article examines adaptive approaches to digital project management under mixed work formats, analyzes international companies’ practices, and develops a concept for adaptive digital project management that accounts for the changing digital environment. In the research process, the study used comparative analysis, systematization, structural and logical analysis, graphic modeling, and analytical generalization of international companies’ management practices. The study identified the essence of adaptive management in coordinating digital projects and characterized how mixed work formats transform management mechanisms. The analysis examined the practices of international companies Microsoft, Atlassian, Spotify, GitLab, Canva, Notion, and SoftServe in flexible work organization, digital collaboration, asynchronous communication, dynamic leadership, human capital development, and support for team interaction. The study identified key factors in adaptive management effectiveness, including the organization’s digital maturity, the level of team autonomy, the quality of internal communication, and the ability to respond rapidly to changes in the external environment.
