Emotional Adventure: Getting To Know Happy, Sadness, Angry, and Friends at State Elementary School 9 Dewantara
Abstract
Mental health problems that impact negative behavior are often caused by an individual's inability to manage, control, and express their emotions. Therefore, it is important to introduce emotional management skills from an early age, when children are in the formative phase of various developmental aspects. This study aims to describe and analyze basic emotional control contained in the animated children's film Inside Out. The method used is descriptive qualitative with a content analysis approach. Data were collected through observation and documentation of the film. The results show that the film Inside Out contains various aspects of basic emotional control, such as self-management, social skills, motivation, empathy, self-awareness, and the ability to understand and manage emotions. This film is recommended as an effective learning medium in helping young children recognize and apply forms of emotional control in a fun and educational way.
