Abstract

The widespread deployment of ultra-distributed computing infrastructure and the adoption of the edge-cloud continuum architecture create an ever-increasing need for spectrum access. Database-driven cognitive radio networks (DB-CRNs) are a promising avenue to addressing spectrum scarcity in the wireless access domain. Since DB-CRNs are a key component in emerging wireless access networks, they are expected to be future-proof, providing crucial quantum-resilient security and privacy. To this end, we propose QLAP, a post-quantum (PQ)-secure and privacy-preserving spectrum access framework for DB-CRNs that protects secondary user (SU) identity and location privacy while enabling verifiable proximity-backed location assurance and regulatory-compliant spectrum access under realistic adversarial settings, with demonstrated practical efficiency against both classical and quantum adversaries.

The impact of agile practices on communication in software development

The study shows that agile practices improve both informal and formal communication, but indicates that, in larger development situations involving multiple external stakeholders, a mismatch of adequate communication mechanisms can sometimes even hinder the communication.
