Model of spiritual and moral education: integration of ethnopedagogy and digital technologies
Abstract
This study examines the challenges and prospects of developing students’ spiritual and moral education through the integration of ethnopedagogical values and digital educational technologies. The purpose of the research was to substantiate, develop, and experimentally verify a structural and content model aimed at fostering students’ spiritual and moral development in a modern digital educational environment. The study employed theoretical analysis of scientific literature, pedagogical modeling, questionnaires, testing, pedagogical experiment, and statistical data processing methods. The analysis identified several key challenges in contemporary education, including the erosion of traditional moral values, the growing influence of mass media and digital content on young people, and the limited effectiveness of conventional educational approaches. The research also revealed promising directions for integrating ethnopedagogical heritage with digital technologies, such as the development of digital educational platforms, interactive learning resources, virtual cultural environments, and collaborative online activities promoting national values. Based on these findings, a structural and content model was designed and implemented at A. Myrzakhmetov Kokshetau University. The experimental results demonstrated positive changes in students’ knowledge, value orientations, and practical skills related to spiritual and moral development. The scientific significance of the study lies in the creation of an integrated educational model combining traditional ethnopedagogical principles with innovative digital solutions. Its practical significance is associated with the possibility of applying the proposed model in teacher education programs and educational institutions to enhance the effectiveness of spiritual and moral education in the digital age.
