Design of high-speed and reliable data transmission based on GTP
Abstract
Sonar buoys constitute a critical technological instrument for underwater environmental monitoring, with their core function residing in the efficient data acquisition and reliable transmission of environmental parameters. Driven by the continuous iteration and upgrading of data acquisition systems, the industry imposes increasingly stringent requirements on data transmission rate, stability, and reliability. To address these challenges, this paper selects the Xilinx Artix-7 series FPGA as the central control core and constructs a high-speed, reliable data transmission system based on the GTP high-speed serial transceiver and the SFP optical module. System stability and signal integrity are ensured through optimized design of the SFP optical module's power interface isolation circuit and refined coupling and impedance matching of the high-speed differential signal lines. Furthermore, the data transmission link employs an 8b/10b encoding scheme based on the Aurora communication protocol to optimize DC balance, thereby further enhancing transmission reliability and stability. Ultimately, comprehensive technical validation of high-speed optical fiber data communication was successfully completed within a practical sonar buoy system.
