Abstract

Biologically synthesized silver nanoparticles are becoming more and more popular due to their simple formation, safety, and good optical, effective antimicrobial and antioxidant activity at lower concentrations than conventional chemical pesticides. In this context, Euphorbia Caducifolia Haines, often called Snuhi, is a plant that is known for its latex, which is used to make Snuhi gel and oil. Its therapeutic qualities and traditional uses make this plant significant, underscoring its importance in a variety of treatments. The focus of this investigation is to create Ag NPs using methanolic plant extract of E. Caducifolia. FTIR and UV-VIS absorption spectroscopy, XRD, SEM, TEM techniques were employed to characterise the synthesized nanoparticles. The potential applications of Euphorbia-mediated AgNPs in optical devices, biosensing, and bioimaging are demonstrated by PL responses. Utilizing the DPPH technique, the antioxidant activity was determined and effectiveness against the plant pathogenic bacterium Staphylococcus aureus and Enterococcus faecalis was evaluated.
