Abstract

The agricultural sector faces challenges such as inefficient equipment management, delays in identifying environmental changes, and the risks of manual errors. This project introduces a smart farming solution that combines Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies to address these issues effectively. RFID enables real-time tracking of equipment and crops, while IoT sensors provide continuous updates on critical environmental factors like soil moisture, temperature, and weather conditions. In simulated tests, the system proved to be faster, more accurate, and capable of reducing human errors. It also sends timely alerts about potential problems, such as irrigation needs or extreme weather, allowing farmers to take preventive action. As a result, this system improves equipment management, keeps a detailed record of crops, and monitors farm conditions efficiently. By optimizing resources, minimizing risks, and supporting better decision-making, this approach paves the way for more sustainable and productive farming practices.
