Analysis of bus voltage oscillation in DC shore power systems based on SimuNPS
Abstract
As a core hub connecting the new power system and ship electrification, the bus voltage stability of the DC shore power system directly determines its safe operation and power supply efficiency. With the large-scale deployment of DC shore power systems and the popularization of high-power shore power technology, bus voltage oscillation issues induced by the negative impedance characteristics of constant power loads (CPLs) and the low-inertia characteristics of power electronic converters have become increasingly prominent, which seriously threatens system safety. To accurately analyze the oscillation mechanism and realize effective suppression, this paper adopts an impedance stability analysis method and conducts research based on the full electromagnetic transient simulation platform SimuNPS. Firstly, a simulation model of the DC shore power system is established in SimuNPS. Secondly, by constructing impedance models of the power source and load terminals, the influence of impedance parameters on system stability is analyzed, and the generation mechanism of voltage oscillation is revealed. Finally, simulation verifications are performed in SimuNPS to validate the rationality of the impedance stability analysis. The results show that SimuNPS can efficiently and accurately complete the electromagnetic transient simulation and theoretical verification of impedance stability for DC shore power systems. This research provides reliable simulation support and a reference for bus voltage oscillation prevention and parameter optimization of DC shore power systems, facilitating the high-quality development of ship shore power systems.
