Investigation of the Self-Heating Effect in Thermoresistive Sensors for Flow Measurements

Abstract

This article presents an experimental method to determine the thermal resistance of industrial thermoresistive sensors in a moving medium. On the one hand, the proposed method allows the selection of a measuring current that keeps the temperature measurement error at an acceptable level. On the other hand, it enables the determination of the flow velocity of the surrounding medium.
