The Association Between Nursing Students’ Attitudes Towards Artificial Intelligence and Medical Artificial Intelligence Readiness: A Descriptive and Cross-sectional Study

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to examine the relationship between nursing students’ attitudes towards AI and their readiness for medical AI.Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study. The research was conducted with 455 nursing students from two universities in Türkiye. Data were collected using the “General Attitudes Towards Artificial Intelligence Scale” and “the Medical Artificial Intelligence Readiness Scale”. Descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA and multiple linear regression analyses were employed for data analysis.Results: Students’ attitudes towards AI were found to be moderately positive overall (M=43.04, SD=7.25), with a high mean total score for medical AI readiness (M=72.41, SD=12.26).
